Usually I think statues that get placed around pools and in certain gardens or yards never quite fit. This little pool in Cienfuegos though, got it to work. The whole thing started with how you entered the water. There were two beautiful stone-carved lions on either side of the shallow end steps. By the time you got in and started swimming around you were already feeling pretty special. Most memorable though is this one, partially tucked into the tropical Cuban plants, a kissing statue. How charming.
